To Conclude

To conclude, we will combine all three of our theories to prove once again that beauty pageants are unethical.  We have referenced the in class power points to make these points.

•  Number one is“We should pursue our purpose unless it treats persons only as means or unless the consequences cause more harm than good”. This directly relates to child beauty pageants because the mothers are using the children as a means for their own happiness and profit. Also, as stated above these pageants can have negative effects on the children. 
• Secondly “We should act on principle unless it will cause more harm than good or unless it contradicts our purpose”. This quote strengthens the adult pageant argument, because the women begin with a good purpose to achieve a scholarship, but irrational thought and emotions take over, their purpose is contradicted and therefore ethically wrong.

Therefore based on these arguments, we believe that the purpose, principle and consequences of beauty pageants are unethical.
